SECURE SHOPPING

Secure Shopping on the Internet is at the forefront of everyone's mind, so it is Deft Touch's duty to make the shopping experience as safe and secure as possible for you, the consumer. As such, the following is a description of how our e-Commerce technology handles the use of your credit card information.

When you shop at www.defttouch.com prior to initiating the checkout process, your web browser is operating normally in an "unsecured" mode. As a result, the data that www.defttouch.com sends to your web browser and the data that you send back to www.defttouch.com is not encrypted.

When you submit your order through our shopping cart, your electronic request is sent to our Payment Processor (Paypal) and starts the encryption mode with your web browser. This is known as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. You will be notified of the SSL encryption by the following message:-

If you are using a Firefox browser you can check the security of your connection by looking at the the little padlock at top-right corner of your browser window after accessing the server. For Internet Explorer check the little padlock near the top right-hand corner. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser type), then SSL is active.

You enter your credit card information directly onto the electronic Payment Processor's (Paypal) secure banking network environment, where all your encrypted financial information it is subsequently unencrypted and the Payment Processor contacts the applicable banks to transfer the funds. The Payment Processor is a certified company that has access to the international banking computer network.

Paypal provides very high levels of internet and physical security to ensure sensitive information is never compromised.

Paypal security measures are as follows;

• credit/debit card details are secured within 128-bit encrypted sessions.
• sensitive information is stored on a heavily encrypted database that is protected by multiple government firewalls.

Please note that your credit card information is never kept on the www.defttouch.com's e-Commerce server. It is never at risk since it does not reside in any customer order history on www.defttouch.com's e-Commerce server. Should Deft Touch ever be required to refund your purchase funds, our e-Commerce server will access your credit card details within the secure banking network to reverse the transaction. The reversal of the transaction will then appear on your next credit card statement.

DELIVERY

Upon receipt of payment we endeavor to dispatch your purchase within 48 hours. If for any reason we can not dispatch within this period we will contact you accordingly.

All purchases are sent First Class - a certificate of posting is issued by Royal Mail upon dispatch and is retained by us for 30 days. Note: Deliveries are not recorded.

Our aim is to ensure your purchase arrives as quickly as possible, however delivery time can be subject to external postal restrictions, therefore please allow up to 7 days for delivery before contacting our sales team.

RETURNS

If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase please return the item within 7 days of receipt (with order details and reason for return attached), and we will arrange an exchange or refund, as long as the item is in the same condition as when it was despatched.

If for any reason this form was not enclosed please call us on +44 (0)8455001376 or e-mail us at info@defttouch.com. We will endeavor to process your return as soon as they arrive back, however your refund may take up to 7 working days from the time we receive your returned goods.

Please note that when sending a return, the parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us; we strongly recommend that you send it registered post.

At the present time we only accept postal returns of goods. Refunds will be either credited back to the credit card that was used to purchase the item or in the form of a credit note, if the item was a gift.
